This week the team has been working on integrating FIAT functionality into the account system. Testing is going well and we’re just finishing up the user interface. This means that when we open up the account system, FIAT will be there from the start. It also provides a FIAT on ramp for XE.
We’ve also been working on getting the new capacity online for Edge Servers. We’ve been working through some virtualization issues this week, but are confident that everything will be working fine within the next week or two. We appreciate your patience while we get things ready but rest assured, work on the Account system has not let up — FIAT is almost complete, with DNS next and CDN shortly after that.
As you’ll know by now, some of the team are involved with one of the most exciting new projects in the NFT space, a project that can have a real impact on the world. The Mudas project has a noble mission: to help protect and restore the Amazon rainforest, and this is something that the team here at Edge feel strongly about. The sustainability of technology in the modern age, the protection and conservation of our natural CO2 scrubbers, that’s what we’re about. 🌳
This week there has been some fantastic progress in the project, and for those who don’t know, Mudas will be running on 100% sustainable Edge services: Edge Servers, CDN, and Storage. We’re proud to support the project and can’t wait to share more about it with you.
The team also spent some time advising a startup in the advertising space with a web3 leaning. There’s now a plan in place for their platform to be run on the network.
