Hi everyone đź‘‹

A short update this week as a bunch of us have been away.

Thank you guys for the notes above. To reiterate BJay’s comments, we’re actively working on the future of the token. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes. We know the current situation is difficult, but with a little more patience we’ll all come through it stronger.

This week the team identified and began working on a CDN PNG>JPG conversion issue whereby backgrounds are loosing their transparencies in certain settings. A fix has been identified and will be released next week.

They also continued work on the augmentation of network metrics, currently used for monitoring and reporting, and soon to be included in explorer and console.

We’re also working on separating out services from Console in to a separate authenticated area of the platform. The intention here is to provide an extremely clear and direct route to services. At the moment if you want to use CDN you have to sign up to Console, and the first thing you see when logged in is focused on network contribution. This isn’t great when it comes to conversions to use, so breaking services out - but maintaining a single sign on service - should help to improve the service for the different types of audience.

Work on a prototype for a new load testing app progressed. This is designed to allow to load test discrete areas of the network and to provide a more solid feedback mechanism.

And a refreshed content delivery section of the Edge site was finished up. This should be live next week, along with documentation in support of the media pipeline.

TNC have completed updating compatibility for their node for Ubuntu (we’re testing it at the moment). There is a single exchange left to complete integration.

Cookalong have secured a partnership with Fever Tree. And Vodafone’s first live event takes place next week. Both provide a great showcase and connections for network services. We’re working really closely with their team to help to move the platform forward, and are using the opportunity to explore and expedite video compatibility for CDN.

And that’s it for this week.

Enjoy your weekends.
